AN Anglican Communion Priest attached to church at Uwheru community simply identified as Rev Rev. Agbadamashi Emmanuel, his wife and children have been kidnapped by suspected kidnappers in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.
The incident occurred along the East-West road by Evwreni junction on Friday it was gathered by The Pointer.
According to a sources, “The cleric and his family were returning from Ughelli to Uwheru community when the incident occurred.
“They have made contact with the family and they are demanding for a N150 million as ransom”, the source from Egbo-Uwheru were the church is located disclosed
Though the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright could not be contacted.
But a source from the Dioceses who pleaded anonymity and confirm the incident to the Pointer said, “As the last time we heard from kidnappers, they were demanding for N100 million ransom.
“They have reduced the ransom from N100 to N10,million and I can only tell you that the Dioceses don’t have any money pay, but the only thing they will do is to pray.”
